I adore Arches 300gsm rough, particularly this size on the block. The dimensions are perfect for my work, they can travel well without damaging the paper, I don't have to roll it, and the paper doesn't move like a pad. The internal and external sizing used by Arches is beautiful. I don't paint on the block as I use so much water, so I can't comment on bleeding, but there is only one small area where that could occur, otherwise the black binding on all edges seals well.

Great quality paper. The rough pattern is excellent. Some other brand papers have horizontal lines in the pattern/tooth that spoil the watercolour impression. That’s Not the case with Arches.
