Description
Achieve a better understanding of light and colour through painting from life with international award winning artist and outdoor oil painting specialist Leon Holmes
In this workshop we will focus on making outdoor painting (Plein Air) enjoyable and easily accessible. We will explore composition (what and why to paint it) and I will explain how to strip that subject back to its simplest forms. Then we will delve deeper into understanding how light affects colour and how to transfer all of that quickly onto the canvas using a luscious, jucy paint application to really show off the qualities of oil paint. (Weather permitting, we will venture outdoors to put these lessons into practice.)
I am forever having students tell me that their head is exploding with information and that I have opened their minds to a whole new way of painting.
