Baohong Acadamy is a crisp white 100% cotton gelatine sized watercolour sketch book. This watercolour book contains 24 sheets (48 pages) of watercolour paper. Matched to the requirements of watercolour painting, it is a must for all creatives who don't want to miss the texture of classic watercolour paper on the go.
The 300 gsm watercolour paper has a smooth or cold pressed grain. Due to the surface sizing, colours can be effortlessly lifted from the paper. The use of masking fluids, adhesive tapes and erasers is possible without residue.
The solid leather look cover protects the contents from moisture and dirt, the rubber band keeps everything well secured.

I bought this sketchbook and the smaller size, mainly for plein air painting and for practicing at home. The size of the book means it is easy and comfortable to hold in one hand or on your lap while painting outside or on the couch at home without feeling flimsy. The paper quality is lovely and responds really well to wet on wet with very little buckling or warping. I'm yet to try it with masking fluid however have been really happy with how it handles washi tape. I'm enjoying using both of the sizes I bought so much I bought two more recently. My only concern with the first book I bought was that when I first opened it, the cover lifted away from the spine, exposing the binding, and is now hanging off somewhat awkwardly. I have not had this issue with the others that I've bought, so possibly that was a one off. I don't plan to gift it and it's purely for my use, so it's really not that big of a deal for me. Beautiful paper. Colours blend well and it handles wet-in-wet with very minimal warping. This journal is sturdy and will be great for plein air.

Lovely little watercolor sketchbook with fabulous Baohong paper. My only complain is the seller's barcode/price sticker on the back bottom right corner. I removed the sticker, but the adhesive is too strong and sticky. I cannot remove it completely, and the back cover's corner remains sticky. It's a minor, unnecessary annoyance.
