Description

Saunders Waterford is an exquisite watercolour paper, traditionally made on a cylinder mould machine. This superior quality watercolour paper made by St Cuthberts Mill uses 100% long cotton fibre, the highest quality papermaking material, to high archival standards. Each sheet is buffered with calcium carbonate to help defend finished pieces of work from discolouration caused by acids present in atmospheric pollution.

Its attractive surface is created using natural woollen felts that give it a distinctive random texture. The surface is sized in gelatine making it strong and resilient to scrubbing, and other rough treatments.

This quality watercolour paper is well known the world over. Acid free with excellent archival qualities, this paper is resistant to feathering and is also excellent for printmaking.

These pads are glued and tape bound on the short side.

Very happy with this watercolour paper it holds the paint a d water very well and I like the rough texture thanks Deidre

The surface is not bad in terms of roughness, but there is no absorption like there is with Arches paper. The colours sit on the surface of the paper, which is good for wipe outs but I don't need to do many of those. I prefer Arches.
