Introduced at about the same time as Ultramarine, Cobalt Aluminate is a synthetic inorganic pigment.
It is a more greenish blue, with a heavier, more mineral appearance when seen as dry pigment. The hues formed from it are correspondingly heavier and greyer.
But it has a certain shade which the less expensive ultramarine cannot quite match.
The paint film when cured is quite soft.

Michael Harding oils are superb, the hues are rich and the paint has great balance of oil to pigment. Highly recommended.

I now have my basic palette of Micheal Harding oils 15 colours still need to add 2 or 3 more & really love them though haven't tried them all out yet just the warm & cool of primaries quite excited to experiment With a couple of special MH colours . You won't be disappointed
