Arches Aquarelle watercolour sheets are made on a cylinder mould, which offers a quality close to handmade papers. The slow turning of the cylinder enables the fibres to be deposited evenly and spread in all directions over the wire. The fibres are distributed evenly, the paper slackens uniformly when wet, giving the artist more control. Only papermaking on a cylinder mould can produce paper with deckle edges. This process can produce papers with a high grammage and exceptional resistance to scratching and erasing.

This was my first time buying this product, the quality is really great. I bought this size to cut down to A2 size and use the spare for swatches. When I received it, the size of the paper made sense as it has an embossed logo in two diagonally opposite corners, so depending on your use you may not be able to use the whole paper for your art project.
The paper came very well packaged, sandwiched between two thick bits of card and then also carefully wrapped in butcher's paper.
It takes ink and water very well.
I will definitely buy again.
Just love the Arches watercolour paper as it suits my style of painting. Excited to try out the 640gsm. Package arrived in good order and well packaged.
This paper is wonderful. It’s never let me down and practically paints itself !
The thickness of this paper allows me to paint with a lot of water and still the paper doesn't buckle. It saves a great deal of time not having to stretch the paper. The tooth seems more textured than the 300gsm but I soon got used to that.
Senior Art offers the best possible price for this beautiful paper even after taking bulky rate shipping into account.
