I was so incredibly glad I bought the dot cards. Initially I baulked at the price but trying all of the colours and getting a feel for how they work (and how the work together) really helped me to narrow down my choices and pick colours for my travel palette that complement each other, ultimately saving me money. They give you a much clearer understanding how what the colours really are, as opposed to how they look on a website or in a YouTube video when swatched by others.
Also, there's something very relaxing about swatching watercolour paint. This kept me entertained for ages!

I love using these Daniel Smith colour charts. Great value to try paints before you invest in a tube. It's also surprising how far that little dot will go! Great for painting greeting cards and adding colour you haven't tried before in small places of a painting.

This is excellent .... you get the real paint and choose accurately the color best suiting your personal palettes.... much better than purchasing a whole tube then finding it does not meet your needs. The printed color charts can never be completely accurate and I have been saved from several expensive blunders by having this chart....if you like Daniel Smith paint, I highly recommend these color sheets.
