It’s a beautiful colour but… I have red oxide and it is virtually the same. Red oxide also granulates just as beautifully. So I was a bit disappointed. Otherwise of course I love all of Daniel smiths watercolor paints.

I am never disappointed with DS. This colour with slight granulation works very well for and I have used it within various types of applications. It is my first brown I have bought within the range and would recommend it to anyone. Previously I have utilised my own mixtures with a little success, but the science behind DS, takes all the guesswork out if mixing. This colour flows and lifts well.

This is the most gorgeous. rich and earthy granulating colour. Use it for rocks and they paint themselves. Trouble is, I love it so much I want to use it everywhere, all the time for everything.

I adore Daniel Smith paints but there are a few that separate in the tube. This is one of them. Lovely textured result but you have to use a lot and mix it before applying.
