The Neef Series 118 Master Artist Mop-type wash brush is made of pure black synthetic fibre that mimics squirrel hair and is perfect for watercolour.
This synthetic fibre is designed to imitate the elasticity, softness, absorption and quality of a natural hair brush.
Neef mop brushes have more body than conventional round brushes. This allows them to absorb large amounts of water and paint.
It is also a brush that stretches to a fine point when wet, thus allowing for the application of more precise details in large quantities.
Created in collaboration with Thomas W. Schaller.
The Neef brush from the 118 series is a superb and versatile tool for creating fantastic works using the watercolour technique.

Lovely brush that holds a good amount of water and forms a nice shape point. I am Using in watercolour and printmaking for thin dot shapes, and expressive line work.
This is a very soft brush, is able to hold a lot of water and paint. I love the feel and the tip is so fine and functions at such a high level I will be buying more. It is my new favorite and I have about 200 brushes! LOL. I'm so thankful Neef makes these.
High quality. Excellent value. This is a big brush, thirsty!!! Thomas Schaller's work is a favorite of mine. When I saw him painting and he explained who had these brushes and how he helped create them - I needed them. Having my first ones.... it's true. A staple for the artist.
