Faber PITT Compressed Charcoal Pencil Med (Wax Free)

Difficult to sharpen without breakages. Fine to use on paper.

I hadn't used charcoal pencils before and had to email for the best way to sharpen. The regular pencil sharpener kept breaking the charcoal and I also found that sharpening with a blade tricky. It needs to be really sharp so you can remove the wood without snapping he charcoal. They are good value for money but not my favourite medium
