"Inorganic – Cremnitz White 1 is made with pure industrial lead carbonate in linseed oil, creating a heavy, tactile white with a robust surface. It’s name derives from its place of origin, the Bohemian town of Kormeriz, called Cremnitz while under Hapsburg rule. This is the ideal white for furrowed, granular, or impasto mark making. When used unmixed, it cures with a slight oil expression to the surface, giving it a warm, parchment-like effect. Cremnitz White No. 1 is a wonderful all-around mixer that supports middle-value hues without annulling them."
