Master Paint maker David Coles’ favoured blend. Entering into the oil colour lexicon in the early to mid 19th century, Payne’s Grey has since been composed by combining various blues, reds, blacks or earths. This modern take has no ochre incorporated, producing a uniquely exquisite violet cast.
