This is the superior quality watercolour paper made by St Cuthberts Mill and comes with the Royal Watercolour Society’s endorsement. Made using 100% cotton, the highest quality papermaking material, to high archival standards. Each sheet is buffered with calcium carbonate to help defend finished pieces of work from discolouration caused by acids present in atmospheric pollution.

Nice quality paper for watercolour exercises. Nice texture.

One of the best water colour pads I have used.Nice tooth and would definitely re order.

I am a fan of this company’s paper. Being relatively new to watercolour I worked out very quickly that paper is paramount. This paper holds water well, dries back beautifully without buckle, does not ever go “furry” if a little heavy handed with water. Would happily repurchase and recommend.

I’ve always used this paper but usually cold press and this time I ordered Rough.
It’s very good Watercolour paper.

Only completed 2 pics with my new paper so far ... but the quality is great, nice rough finish to leave light spaces behind the wash and holding its shape well.

The surface is not bad in terms of roughness, but there is no absorption like there is with Arches paper. The colours sit on the surface of the paper, which is good for wipe outs but I don't need to do many of those. I prefer Arches.
