As of writing this I've only used it twice but it did the job I expected of it - that job being holding down my paper, not tearing my paper or my painting when I peel it off and leaving a nice clean border with no bleeding. Can't say fairer than that

Have found tape works well on high quality watercolour paper, with no problems with sealing edges or lifting tape off paper. However, when used in a sketchbook, I did have issues with removal of tape, causing some tearing of paper.

I use Saunders Waterford watercolour paper and it does damage the paper a bit after 30 minutes, even if I take it off very gently. One painting took longer than expected and the tape did take the top surface off with a gentle downwards pull. It does seal very well for sure, but I will not use it for my watercolour paintings anymore.
