Description
One of the most practical characteristics of Zinc White, in an artist’s palette, is its transparency. Zinc White demonstrates less tinting strength than the most familiar Titanium White. Zinc White is known for being a bright white with an almost bluish overtone. It is quite transparent, and has about 1/10th the tinting strength and a much colder, cleaner, whiter shade than Titanium White. For best practice use Zinc White for creating strong tints, glazing techniques and toning down colours.
