Horadam Naturals Indigofera is a semi-transparent denim blue with very good lightfastness. Natural indigo is obtained from the Indigofera plant, yielding a somewhat dull bluish-black shade. Indigo has been used as a dye in Roman paintings from the 1st century AD, early medieval miniatures, and paintings across all periods of European art, with the oldest evidence dating back to 3000 BCE.
