Unlike other brands, Daniel Smith New Gamboge is an excellent lightfast formulation. It's a transparent organic pigment from the yellow to orange zone of your colour wheel. More staining than Yellow Ochre and equal in tinting ability to Raw Sienna. Daniel Smith Artist Watercolour New Gamboge is a rich luminous colour that is so good for floral painting, it give a vibrancy to my work which may not have been there if I had chosen another yellow hue. It mixes well with other colours, I shall continue to use this brand for future projects.
