Chelsea walnut oil is a good alternative for people who want a non-toxic solvent for colored pencils. It dries slower than linseed oil, but it is less yellow. I used it with Derwent Artist and Lyra Polycolor pencils and it worked good (better with Lyra, which are oil based pencils). I didn't like the result with Prismacolor soft premiere.
