Single pigment DANIEL SMITH Gray Titanium Watercolor is a mid-tone, warm, granulating gray with slightly yellow undertones.

The creamy color and granulation make it beautifully useful for many subjects and purposes.

It's wonderful for dusty desert animals such as deer, elephants and tortoises, and for birds whose feathers offer good camouflage for blending into dry woodland, savanna and desert like the roadrunner and burrowing owl.
In landscapes, granulating Gray Titanium is beautiful for trees and shrubs whose trunks, branches and twigs are light colored and textured.
Urban landscapes benefit from Gray Titanium as well with light washes suggesting concrete structures.

DANIEL SMITH Gray Titanium is semi-transparent, granulating, non-staining and has excellent lightfastness.

As a single pigment, Gray Titanium mixes wonderfully with other colors adding both warmth and softness due to its semi-transparent/semi-opaque characteristic. Gray Titanium both lightens and neutralizes colors it's mixed with.

The new Daniel Smith Gray Titanium is the colour I didn't know I've been waiting for! Since it arrived I have used it constantly and it has a permanent spot in my palette. Perfect for toning down colours and adding a natural pastel look, I love it.
