I go through a lot of w/c paper. I'm demonstrating to my students 3/4 times a week as well as doing my own work and commissions. Apart from the cost (reasonable compared to the paper I used to use) the mixes do not get absorbed into the surface as quickly as other papers do. That gives me more time to manipulate large washes that are heavily pigmented. In my experience soft, lost and broken edges are enhanced by the manner in which the water hangs around a bit longer. It takes a little getting used to but now it is my preferred paper to take to Europe when I am running workshops there, even though I could buy the Italian, French and English papers more cheaply than here.
