I like the pastel foam trays because you can hold a huge amount of pastels, especially if you cut the pastels smaller. I feel the pastels are more secure in the trays for travelling. I can fit up to 3 trays in a container, perfect...!

I don't use it for pastels, I use it to keep my selected 5 ml watercolour tubes together when planning a composition though I can also use the same with the 15 ml tubes ..and yes..great for pastels ..so much safer.

I think the foam storage trays for pastels are brilliant, I have made my own travel boxes and they hold the pastels in place perfectly.
