This an excellent palette for small-scale studio work – either as a main palette for a temporary set of colours or as a supplement to a larger palette. I like that the wells are an adequate size but it's surprisingly compact for the amount of paint it holds and the interior of the lid makes a very useful mixing area. Being porcelain, there's no beading as can happen with plastic or enamel. The only downsides: it doesn't seal (although cling wrap might solve that problem) and it's not something that would be convenient for travel or fieldwork. Would definitely buy again and recommend to others.

Very useful format for my watercolors. Perfectly sized for small painting but also a good complement to a larger pallet. I love porcelain!
