Description
These dark, muted colors have a unique matte texture similar to graphite. Once dry, the surface of the paint can be polished to reveal a metallic luster. The more concentrated the paint is, the stronger the luster will be. Kuretake Gansai Tambi Japanese watercolors were designed for professional artists and crafters, but they can be enjoyed by novices and experts alike. The non-toxic, water-based paints are lightfast and ideal for sketching, illustration, sumi-e, cards, and more! Each watercolor block comes in an individual tray that can be removed from the palette during use. This palette contains six colors: Graphite Blue (No. 260), Graphite Brown (No. 270), Graphite Green (No. 250), Graphite Red (No. 230), Graphite Violet (No. 261), and Graphite Yellow (No. 240).

I have only swatched these paints so far, but very happy with them. They cover a range of moody greys and, as promised can be burnished by rubbing after the paint dries. Looking forward to using them properly in the near future.
