No more wasted paint! The Sta-Wet palette system was developed by Masterson over 20 years ago and is unmatched in its level of functionality. Masterson’s Sta-Wet process keeps acrylics and other water based paints moist on the open palette for hours. Once the lid is closed, the paints will stay in workable condition for days, even weeks. A wet sponge and special permeable palette paper provide the paint with a constant source of moisture. Paints will not dry out. The airtight container can be used to store oil paints as well.
Each palette contains:
- Five sheets of Sta-Wet acrylic palette paper
- One Cellulose Sponge
- Palette Tray and Lid
- Complete instructions for preparation and use
Additional paper and sponge refill packs are inexpensive and available online or through your favorite art supply store.

I've had this on my "Wish List" for over a year now and this is absolutely the cheapest I've found it at in that time. Sold! I didn't want to write a review until I'd actually started using it and I'm really impressed - I knew I would be after the research on reviews I'd looked at online. It lives up to all the claims and I'm really chuffed that it fits my glass palette perfectly (which was a cheap glass kitchen board from Amazon). Like the old Tupperware (for those of us that remember it ????????), there are loads of points of "click and seal", that once you've finished going around it, you absolutely know it's airtight. To make the paints last even longer, I've popped a couple of drops of clove oil on a cotton bud in a little bowl in the corner. My only problem is, it doesn't fit in my freezer!

Great box to keep my acrylic paints on my glass palette from drying out, they stay wet for a few days. Easy to use. It can also be a storage box for my glass palette when transporting it.
