The Michael Harding Artist Discussion & Demonstration is geared for the artist who is interested in understanding why the quality of art materials used is important to the value of their painting. This session last approximately 1.5 - 2 hours and accommodates the artist's desire for deeper discussion as requested on; pigments, consistency, suggested uses, toxicity, etc. Hands on sampling of paints will be a feature of this presentation. Michael Harding proved a most affable man whose knowledge and experience in the field of colour and making artist's oil paint shone out at the workshop he conducted on 18 Feb 2014 at Seniors in Malvern. Michael kept us interested and entertained with his history in making oil paint, the ups and downs of business and his exemplary commitment to creating the very best oil paints for artists so they may excel in their work. Ably assisted by his wife, Michael was very willing to answer all manner of questions from the group of approximately 20 in attendance. He maintained a relaxed atmosphere combined with honest professionalism in the information he presented. Highly enjoyable and full of great information for the oil painter.
