Sap Green is a generic name for a rich, deep green.
Colourmen successively changed its composition through a variety of natural organic lakes, often unstable.
This green has an exceptionally rich, earthy, mossy range of yellow undertones which suggest all variations of vegetation and undergrowth. Ideal for the landscape / plein air painter.

This is my go-to Green for Eucalyptus foliage / leaves and just generally any tree foliage I paint. Blends perfect with yellows to change to lime or alternatively with other colours for deeper hues.

Great color, great paint! Love the quality of Michael Harding paints.

Over many years I have settled on permanent sap green as my required green when painting landscape plein air. As a base for green grass it is excellent with a vibrancy especially useful for spring scenes. It works well with cadmium red when a more muted green is required OR when deepening red. I always choose the Michael Harding brand as the high quality is undeniable.
