Greg paints in a strong, loose and colourful way and his paintings contain elements of sound design and draftmanship and a crisp, direct technique. In this film he starts off with an initial session of techniques in his studio in Melbourne. He them demonstrates his method of painting, choosing views along the coast near his home. The second part of the film sees him travelling to France where he paints a street scene and harbour in the picturesque port of Honfleur in Northern France.

Interesting to see a younger Greg with the same painting philosophy as he states on the later DVD. It really made me see that LIGHT is all important in a painting.

As with everything Greg does, he is exceptional.He is a little too quick in this video for it to be much of a tutorial, but to watch him at work is inspiring. Would be nice if some of the other artists had his kind attitude towards his audience. He is a great promoter of our medium, and a fine exponent, wish I could afford to buy his paintings.
