Description
This storage box is ideal for storing your pastels. It holds all brands

I opted for the 90-capacity version of this box rather than the 60-capacity version. Partly because it leaves room for growth and partly because it means I have 6 "columns" of slots and therefore can arrange the pastels, as generally recommended, going from light to dark across the six columns and cool to warm vertically. The slots fit Art Spectrum and Rembrandt pastels very well, and even most half-length pastels, so long as they're not too thin. The box isn't glamorous like some of the wooden ones out there, but it does the job and is compact, light and portable. • A word of warning: the foam used for the trays gives off a strong "gas" when new, which left me feeling queasy after spending an hour of so sorting pastels into it. I strongly recommend removing the trays and leaving them to air for a few hours (or more) before loading, and leaving the box open as frequently as is practical in the first weeks of ownership.

This is a great storage unit for my pastels, I was able to sort them into appropriate shades until such time as I use them and they get jumbled again. The only problem is that in removing each tray from the box, I need to be careful the trays don't come apart. But now I know that, I can work with it.

Not as sturdy as expected . Was an inexpensive Fisher ( not neef) storage box, so assuming the cost is related to foam inserts.
