DANIEL SMITH Jean Haines Master Artist Set 10x5ml Tubes

I just fell in love with Daniel Smith water colours when my grand daughter had gone to an art store (she is 11 and loves to paint with me) and she could only afford to buy one colour. She brought back Moonglow. Of course I was thrilled to get such a wonderful gift but I wasn't sure about the colour in the tube, So we did a swatch test and were both staring at this one colour drying it was magical, so vibrant, on cold press water colour paper it moves and changes colour with some granulation. From then on I was hooked. We went out together and bought the primary colours we could mix. But now these gorgeous paints are put in to sets and it makes selection so easy because I could easily spend the household budget with out remorse!
You will be amazed at the quality, colour, and just how far these paints go. They last and last and I adore them.
I bought an empty palette with trays and filled them so that I know my DS colours are together so I can just lift them out. I put the swatch test on the inside of the lid corresponding to the colours in the chart and once I have purchased this box I will only need to buy single refills.
Just a word about paper. If you go to the expense of buying premium paint don't skimp on the paper, you will never ever be happy if you do. Buy the best the can afford with a good heavy weight. I think they work best on cold pressed. If you aren't sure a tip I learned was to buy the cold pressed and if I need a smoother surface turn over the paper and work on the back it really is quite smooth.
Do I recommend Daniel Smith YES.
