For a watercolorist you cannot go past the Daniel Smith watercolours. They have no one competition in the market place for colour, and grade. They granulate beautifully and I find that by using a wet brush first on the page then just touching the colour to it I get the most beautiful flowers. I do have one rule, put it down and don't touch it. I have seen others who try to then move it around like any other water colour paint. I have found that by putting the shape down first and making it wet enough then dipping my colour brush in next just in one spot for the bleed it will develop in to a stunning creation. No help from me.
That may sound repetitive, I meant it to be. After it dries if you want to retouch go ahead but remember that first time will be your best.
