The majority of oil painting is done with hoghair. Only the best quality Chungking bristles are selected and specially prepared to create bristles with greater spring. This quality control enables the interlocked bristle to retain its shape and resilience over many years. We recommend these brushes to oil painters.
The filbert has a flat ferrule and rounded hair end. The flat side is used for wider strokes and the edge for more linear purposes. A versatile brush that gives a softer finish than the flats or brights.
