Baohong Classic Sketchbook 300gsm

The sketchbook is a good size. It’s the first time I’ve used this paper. It was a bit rougher than I thought it even and was a bit more absorbent than I am used to but I’m getting used to it.

I haven’t tried this sketchbook yet, but I like the cover and the size. Paper seems a bit rougher than I would prefer. Look forward to using it on my next trip.

I bought this sketchbook and the smaller size, mainly for plein air painting and for practicing at home. The size of the book means it is easy and comfortable to hold in one hand or on your lap while painting outside or on the couch at home without feeling flimsy. The paper quality is lovely and responds really well to wet on wet with very little buckling or warping. I'm yet to try it with masking fluid however have been really happy with how it handles washi tape. I'm enjoying using both of the sizes I bought so much I bought two more recently.
My only concern with the first book I bought was that when I first opened it, the cover lifted away from the spine, exposing the binding, and is now hanging off somewhat awkwardly. I have not had this issue with the others that I've bought, so possibly that was a one off. I don't plan to gift it and it's purely for my use, so it's really not that big of a deal for me.
Another reviewer mentioned the epically sticky barcode sticker on the back cover. I had a similar experience and found that the adhesive lifted easily with a little bit of that orange-scented sticky substance remover you can buy in supermarkets and hardware stores.
All in all, these books are great and I'll most likely repurchase.

Beautiful paper. Colours blend well and it handles wet-in-wet with very minimal warping. This journal is sturdy and will be great for plein air.

I got the small ideal size to fit in my hand bag I have only used it for my fountain pain the doesn’t bleed the page haven’t used it for watercolour so far but I like this sketchbook thank you

lovely little sketchbook with good quality paper. Unfortunately the binding came apart after only three uses and pages are coming loose which is annoying.

Lovely little watercolor sketchbook with fabulous Baohong paper. My only complain is the seller's barcode/price sticker on the back bottom right corner. I removed the sticker, but the adhesive is too strong and sticky. I cannot remove it completely, and the back cover's corner remains sticky. It's a minor, unnecessary annoyance.

Excellent quality! I was pleasantly surprised as I wasn't expecting much of it when I purchased it but still wanted to try it during the sale. Love it! Will purchase again!

A sweet little book with good quality watercolour paper. Seniors art are always quick to pack and deliver, and I appreciate their can-do attitude (when I called once to change an order)

The baohong sketchbook (16x24 medium CP) is beautifully made and the 100% cotton paper perfect for my watercolour needs. The paper is versatile and I have used it with very wet washes to pen work. It doesn’t buckle and can be used on both sides.
I will certainly buy this again.

Absolutely love this diary. Have used Baohong paper before, so I knew this was the quality I wanted in my journal.

I’m liking this sketchbook after three pages of watercolour and ink.
The fine fountain pen nib didn’t seem too bothered by the texture, water moves over the paper pretty well.
I used the eradicator brush really easily. and a damp paintbrush will lift paint too.

I have been using Baohong water colour sheets for sometime now...I love their paper. This little sketchbook is beautifully made and perfect especially for the price. Will definitely be purchasing again in the future

I have been searching for the ultimate watercolour sketchbook for years and have always been vaguely dissatisfied until now - I love the Baohong pads and blocks so had to try the sketchbooks - the paper is brilliant and performs perfectly with minimal warping even with heavier washes. The books themselves are things of beauty. Delighted with this find and will be buying more. Excellent service again from Senior Art - ordered them one day and they arrived (interstate) the next.

I love this sketchbook! This is a pocket size thats cute and small but despite that, the paper quality is great. Im 3 pages in, back to back paintings on wet on wet applications and it hardly buckled once dry. 100% would recommend and is now a staple in my art arsenal.

I am already a huge fan of Baohong watercolour paper, so was excited to see this new addition to the colllection. It’s great to have 300gsm paper in a sketchbook to take en plein air. Although I usually prefer rough paper, the medium still has a good texture for this type of situation. The book cover is a very soft faux leather fabric that has a sumptuous look and feel. The elastic closure works well. Great quality and value. Love it!
