Traditional colour. Soft pink mixed from two pigments. The manganesian lake pigment creates bluish reds. Light resistance of stronger layers is rather good.

I have been using Holbein's more expensive Rose Madder for a couple of years, and am now trying the cheaper version of Horadam. It appears to have good coverage, is a true rose colour and mixes well with other watercolours.
