Bockingford Watercolour Blocks contain 12 sheets of 300gsm/140lb watercolour paper. Comprised of Cold Pressed (NOT) paper, it is rougher than Hot Pressed paper, allowing for paints to sink and absorb into the crevices of the sheet. This creates a wonderful texture for your work. Suitable for all levels of artists and hobbyists.

Traditionally made on a cylinder mould machine at St. Cuthberts Mill, this is a high quality paper made using pure materials to archival standards. Fantastic for wet mediums like watercolour and inks. As well as these, the paper also accepts pastel, gouache, acrylic, pencil, and charcoal. The paper can also be used for certain print techniques and bespoke cartons.

Its attractive surface is created using natural woollen felts that give it a distinctive random texture. Appreciated for its excellent colour lifting abilities. This is an extremely forgiving watercolour paper valued by professional and amateur artists around the world.
