Very happy with Baohong paper, holds water and paint extremely well.
Great quick delivery and exactly what I wanted
Great paper and good value. I got a few to sample and will be ordering more. Very well packaged for delivery. Thank you Senior Art.
Excellent quality pape and excellent value for money
This is great forgiving paper for landscapes, It is good for granulation effects.
This art paper has several virtues: Firstly, it is good value for money, especially when discounted. Secondly, one side is rough and the other is less so - more like medium in texture - suiting it to more detailed work such as might be required for portraits; it's versatile in that sense. Thirdly, It offers good workability. Can buckle somewhat when thoroughly wet and some buckling (cockling) remains as it dries. This disadvantage is not confined to Baohong paper and can be ironed out if it's a concern.
Received in good condition with sturdy packaging. Lovely paper to work on, I’m enjoying learning how to use it to create different effects. I’m anxious to try the other Baohong products.
I go through a lot of w/c paper. I'm demonstrating to my students 3/4 times a week as well as doing my own work and commissions. Apart from the cost (reasonable compared to the paper I used to use) the mixes do not get absorbed into the surface as quickly as other papers do. That gives me more time to manipulate large washes that are heavily pigmented. In my experience soft, lost and broken edges are enhanced by the manner in which the water hangs around a bit longer. It takes a little getting used to but now it is my preferred paper to take to Europe when I am running workshops there, even though I could buy the Italian, French and English papers more cheaply than here. I've tried quite a few of the "top" brand watercolour papers and find the Baohong "The Masters Choice" to be up there with the best if not better, its very robust paper and can take a lot also doesn't pill when lifting off or tear when pulling off masking tape .
One thing I do like is I can choose which side of the paper I want to work on , for finer work I use the reverse side it has a finer grain.
Happy to recommend you give it try.

excellent paper - well recommend it,. Thanks Senior Art for your prompt and efficient service!
Lovely textured material, absorbs paint beautifully. Fantastic service ordered Tuesday and received same week
Great quality for affordable price. Service very prompt as usual.
This is the best paper out. I use it for watercolours and for acrylics with a coat of gesso on it. I would always go for this top quality paper.
This is the best paper for price and I wouldn’t use any other now. After years of Other top brands this is the best. I now use it for acrylics and mixed media after putting a coat of gesso on it. Seniors packaging is 10/10 and have never had anything damaged.
Smooth finish which took the watercolour well without to much warping, I had not pre stretched.
I love the Baohong cold pressed watercolour paper. My first time using a larger block form and it is a wonderful paper to use. It takes lots of water and punishment from the brush!
I was very impressed with how Senior Art packaged this, in MDF sheets. This paper works well for me.
Great paper...have been using for some time now and cannot fault it.
I bought this paper (smooth) for coloured pencil work. I've only done a small amount of colouring, using both graphite pencils and Caran d'Ache coloured pencils, and I must say I really like this paper! It's got a perfect texture for layering.
Love this paper, it has great tooth and has immensely improved to the first edition I purchased about 2yrs ago.
Performs just as well as other papers (I typically have used Arches) and at a substantially lower price will now be my go-to paper. Slightly more textured “rough”surface which I like. Delivery was prompt and easy.
Great reliable product, consistent in texture.
As always Seniors were prompt with the delivery of this product, well packaged and arrived safely.
Thankyou
Excellent quality for a lesser price. Thanks
Excellent quality and price. This paper is second only to Arches.
Wonderful quality paper and excellent price. I have graded this paper second only to Arches because of the reverse not being exactly the same texture.
I changed to BAOHONG ROUGH W/C PAPER 300GSM 560X760 watercolour paper about 18 months ago, it holds its shape when wet and dries flat. Using the rough allows fora brilliant watercolour effect. I recently won a $5,000 art prize using BAOHONG W/C PAPER.
I love this paper and it is my ‘go to’ every time I paint. At first it took a little time to get accustomed to the properties of Bahong, but now it’s my favourite.
Great quality paper.. Excellent value. Packaged extremely well
I have only used it a few times; however I find it a great paper for my type of painting. (It's even rougher than Arches rough). I do, mainly, landscapes and street scenes. The paper is fantastic for dry brush.
I love working on the rough surface which holds the moisture longer than other papers, giving extra time to drop in colours/accents & for softening?loosing edges.
This paper buckles severely if you like to paint very wet, definitely need to stretch it. The paper feels like the cotton fibres are very tightly compacted I guess might be the reason why it buckles so much. Having said that the surface is nice to paint on, the water stays suspended on the surface for some time giving time to play. I bought the hot press paper which has a surface like drawing paper, it has surface texture bot not bumpy and not smooth either. I will get the cold press/rough next time.
