A low- viscosity formula, that increases the granulation of colour, giving a natural mottled appearance to colours which usually give a smooth wash (e.g. Winsor Blue), or enhancing the effect of granulating colours (e.g. French Ultramarine). For maximum effect dilute colour generously with medium alone.

In Australia this product is grossly overpriced. For the same end result in adding to watercolour paints prior to painting on paper, it may be better to trial a salt solution., which is what Winsor Newton granulating medium composes. It's only advantage is that it is probably, but not guaranteed, it's archival properties.
