MM0 Miracle Medium is a solvent-free, odourless, vegan, and plant-based Medium that serves as an alternative to traditional turpentine. This medium offers artists a natural and sustainable option for thinning oil paints, cleaning brushes, and glazing (see our MM2 Quick Dry Dammar Varnish Miracle Medium) without the use of harsh chemicals or toxic fumes. CAN EXTEND DRYING TIME. ADD 5-10% TO OIL COLOUR AS NEEDED.

Artists may dip their brush in MM0 Miracle Medium before applying it to the paint to achieve the desired consistency.

Clean brushes: MM0 Miracle Medium can be used to clean oil paint brushes. After painting, artists may rinse their brushes in MM0 Miracle Medium to remove excess paint and then wash the brushes with soap and water

Below is a step-by-step guide on how to use Miracle Medium MM0 in your oil painting practice.

Materials Needed

• Oil paints

• Brushes

• Palette

• Canvas or painting surface

• Palette knife (optional)

Step-by-Step Guide

1. Prepare Your Palette
Squeeze out your chosen oil paints onto your palette, ensuring they are easily accessible for mixing.

2. Add the Medium
Place a very small amount of Miracle Medium MM0 beside your oil paint. This medium is highly concentrated, so only a minimal quantity is required.

3. Mix the Medium with Paint
Using a palette knife or brush, mix a small amount of Miracle Medium MM0 into your oil paint.
Begin with just a few drops, keeping the total amount of medium within 5–10% by volume relative to the paint. Adjust carefully depending on the handling, flow, and transparency you require.

Do not exceed the recommended maximum of 5–10% by volume, as using more medium can weaken the paint film and affect drying and long-term stability.

4. Apply the Paint
Apply the mixed paint to your canvas as usual. You will notice improved flow and smoother application, making it easier to achieve even strokes, refined details, and controlled glazes.

5. Build Layers
For glazing or fine layered work, Miracle Medium MM0 allows you to build transparent, luminous layers of colour. Allow each layer to dry slightly before applying the next to maintain clarity and depth. The medium will moderately influence drying time while preserving paint integrity.

6. Clean Up
After painting, clean brushes and tools thoroughly. Wipe away excess paint and medium, then clean using a suitable solvent (such as miracle medium, white spirit or turpentine), followed by soap and water.

• Use Sparingly: Miracle Medium MM0 is highly effective in small quantities. Staying within the recommended 5–10% ensures optimal performance and durability.

• Glazing and Layering: Apply thin, transparent layers and allow adequate drying time between applications to achieve luminous results.
